Quality Assurance - Leicestershire, Leicestershire Quality Assurance Technologist / Manager salary ?30,000 per annum Leicestershire
This is a great opportunity for a graduate or an experienced QA Assistant to move their career forwards into a management position looking after quality control of own brand products.

The Company:

The uk's largest homewares retailer with over 100 superstores in England, Wales, Scotland and NI. With a turnover in excess of ?300m this business is fast becoming the success story of the current difficult retail climate. Typically the stores have a headcount is 70+, sq ftge of circa 30,000.
The Role:

As a Quality Assurance Technologist/Manager, your main responsibility will be to manage a QA Assistant and ensure that products making it onto the shelves in the stores are of the highest quality possible.
Buyers within the business will decide on what products the company is going to be selling. They will send samples of these products to you for you to look over, inspect and ensure they are of a quality in keeping with the company standard. If they aren't, you need to have the confidence to talk to the buyers and explain why not!
Providing you are happy with the quality of the sample products you will talk to the suppliers to confirm specification details.
Suppliers will then send you a second sample from the production line. You will check the quality of this sample against the original to ensure the quality is consistent.
Once you have completed the quality control procedure, products will start to make their way to the shelves!

- Strong organisation and administration skills
- Ability to work in a pressurised environment
